Tea Farm in Sun Moon Lake
An operating tea farm that's also a showcase for the reinstatement of tea shrubs to Sun Moon Lake. The speciality here is Assam black tea, introduced to the area from India by the Japanese. In its heyday, this factory had over 200 workers, but it was forced to close down in the early 2000s due to farmers' preference for cultivating the more lucrative betel nut. A handful of veteran workers persisted and began growing organic Assam; they also turned the factory into a tourist attraction.
Taipei 101
The Taipei 101 is designed to resemble a growing bamboo stalk, a symbol of everlasting strength in Chinese culture. Taiwan doesn't have many ostentatious records in its history, but Taipei 101, designed by local architect C.Y. Lee, brings one. It was the first skyscraper to go past the half-kilometer mark and it sat at the pinnacle of the skyscraper world from 2004 to 2009. Taipei 101 can also claim to have the world's fastest passenger elevator. At an ear-popping 1,010 meters per minute, it takes 37 seconds to catapult passengers from the fifth floor to the highest point in Taiwan. http://www.taipei-101.com.tw/en/observatory-info.aspx

The courtyard grass areas, in turn, are covered in a slope of yellow windmills shaped liked sunflowers. Read more about Kaohsiung metro art . Formosa Boulevard is one of the busiest stations in Kaohsiung city, and also one of the most beautiful. In addition to being the place where the Red and Orange subway lines meet, the stop is also the location of the “Dome of Light.” The “Dome of Light,” situated on the upper part of the station, is known as the biggest public art installation all over the globe. We thank the artist Narcissus Quagliata for putting together the dome in a little less than four years, which included shipping pieces of colored glass directly from Germany.
Hehuanshan National Forest Recreation Area
Taiwan's mountains are attracting the attention of hikers from all over the world for their height, which rivals the Alps and the Rocky Mountains, and their beautiful alpine scenery. While some of the highest peaks require considerable time and effort to reach, there is one place on the island that gives an instant overview of what Taiwan's mountains have to offer. Mt. Hehuan, despite its altitude of more than 3,000 meters, has a road that goes right across it, making access very convenient. It is the best place to see snow in the tropics, and escape from the summer heat. In as little as one day, you can travel the highest road in East Asia, and take the many hiking paths that lead off the main road. These are usually short and always safe. Mt. Hehuan, Taiwan's "tourist mountain," rivals the island's other high peaks in scenery and atmosphere, yet it is easily reachable by car or on foot. Accommodation is offered at Hohuan Cottage. At the same time, it is the starting point for one of Taiwan's most challenging and exciting treks, Chilai Ridge, a two-day "ultimate experience" that involves negotiating a knife-edge ridge with many dizzying pinnacles. Although the road scares away many of the birds and animals for which Taiwan is known, a short walk along the trails leading off the main road, particularly those in the direction of Chilai, will reveal their presence."
Heping Island, Keelung
Heping Island is originally named as “She-liao island”. Heping Island is the doorway to Keelung Harbor. It was a settlement of Kaitaglan Tribe at the early times. Currently, a seashore park was set up along with the coast. Inside the park, one will see the important terrain of marine abrasion, including marine cliff, abrasion platform, and abrasion fosse as well as the famous “bean curd rock” and pedestal rock. Apart from the spectacular terrain, the body fossil and trace fossils are considered treasures for geological studies. Be sure to take a good look at the seashore plants for it is amazing that they can survive under the unfavorable conditions. During the ebb, one can step on the abrasion platform to see the strand plants and all the different rocks and stones. Take a break to sit down on the rock to listen to the waves and enjoy the amazing gift of nature. However, please do not go down to the marine cliff for the rock otherwise that might break down at any moment.
