Today, a local representative will escort you to Safdarjung Railway Station, where you will board Palace on Wheels, one of India’s renowned luxury trains.
After completing boarding formalities, the train team will welcome guests with a warm and ceremonial traditional reception. Your dedicated attendants, known as Khidmatgars, will guide you to your private cabin and introduce the train facilities and journey arrangements over welcome drinks. Your week-long royal rail journey through Rajasthan officially begins.
The train is scheduled to depart at 18:30. Dinner will be served on board Palace on Wheels.

Today you arrive at Jaipur, the first stop of Palace on Wheels. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and was once one of the best-planned cities in the world. Foundedin 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the city is known as the “Pink City” due to the pink hue of many of its buildings.
Upon arrival, begin your city tour by air-conditioned coach. First visit the famous Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. Located along the main street of the old city, this iconic five-story structure is known for its pink facade, semi-octagonal architectural lines, and delicate honeycomb-style sandstone windows.
Continue to Albert Hall and the City Palace, once the residence of the royal family. Opposite the City Palace is Jantar Mantar, one of the largest astronomical observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh II, reflecting the advanced astronomical and architectural knowledge of the time.
Later, visit the magnificent Amber Fort. A ride on beautifully decorated elephants adds a royal atmosphere and memorable experience to the visit. Lunch will be arranged at a hotel or local restaurant.
In the afternoon, enjoy time to shop for Jaipur’s famous jewelry, handicrafts, carpets, blue pottery, textiles, and other local specialties.

In the early morning, Palace on Wheels arrives at Sawai Madhopur. The city is named after its founder, Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I, and is surrounded by rich natural landscapes and a wild ecological atmosphere.
Today, visit the renowned Ranthambhor National Park. The park preserves the ruins of a 10th-century fort and is regarded as one of the best wildlife reserves in India for observing and photographing tigers. Covering approximately 392 square kilometers, the park is home to more than 300 species of birds and offers abundant ecological resources.
Common wildlife in the park includes tigers, hyenas, honey badgers, jackals, foxes, and more.
Sawai Madhopur is also known for its distinctive toys, ethnic-style accessories, and traditional garments.
After the safari, return to Palace on Wheels by Safari Canter and enjoy breakfast in your sleeper cabin.
Lunch will be served on board as the train continues to Chittorgarh. During the daytime journey, enjoy the colorful Indian countryside through the train windows.
Upon arrival in Chittorgarh, begin a city tour. The area is famous for legends of bravery, love stories, and wartime history. Chittorgarh Fort was besieged three times and retains many historical traces, making it one of India’s most representative forts. The tour also includes Victory Tower and Tower of Fame. In the evening, enjoy a spectacular sound and light show at Chittorgarh Fort and experience the atmosphere of this ancient city.
Afterwards, return by luxury coach to Palace on Wheels. Dinner will be served on board. The train will remain at Chittorgarh Station and depart for Udaipur in the early morning.

Today you arrive in Jaisalmer, located in the heart of the Thar Desert. Founded by Rawal Jaisal in 1156, the city is famous for its golden-yellow sandstone architecture. Its magnificent yellow sandstone fort rises above the city, creating a truly striking view.
Next, visit the exquisite local havelis, or traditional noble mansions, and admire their delicate latticed windows and ornate facades. Nathmalji-ki-Haveli, Patwon-ki-Haveli, and Salim Singh-ki-Haveli are all classic examples of local stone-carving craftsmanship.
You may also shop for Rajasthan handicrafts at Rajasthali, the official Rajasthan emporium, offering fine Pattu shawls, mirror-embroidered items, wooden boxes, small ornaments, silver jewelry, antiques, and collectibles.
Lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon, head to the Sam Sand Dunes to experience a distinctive camel ride in the desert and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea among the dunes while taking in the desert sunset and exotic atmosphere In the evening, return by luxury coach to Palace on Wheels. Within the fort are several splendid palaces, including Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana, and Daulat Khana, showcasing exquisite architecture and royal grandeur. Nearby, visit Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph and memorial made of white marble.
Lunch will be served at a hotel. During your stay in Jodhpur, you may shop for fine local handicrafts, including the famous jodhpurs, embroidered shoes, metal crafts, silverware, paintings, and tie-dyed textiles.

Begin the day with a visit to the world-famous Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a renowned bird sanctuary. This area is an important habitat and nesting ground for thousands of egrets, Siberian cranes, migratory waterfowl, and many other bird species, making it a must-see destination for nature and bird-watching enthusiasts.
Afterwards, return by luxury coach to Palace on Wheels and enjoy breakfast in your sleeper cabin.
Upon arrival in Agra, visit the Red Fort. After lunch at a hotel, proceed to the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This magnificent white marble monument to love was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal and is celebrated as a symbol of eternal love.
Agra is also famous for its exquisite marble inlay work, especially the Pietra Dura technique seen on the Taj Mahal. Local leather goods and jewelry are also well known.
